The Great Lakes Economic Development Council (Great Lakes EDC) has named Dean M. Prestegaard, founder and Principal Economist of DMP Development Analytics, as Chair of its Advisory Board. Teresa A. Nortillo, MPA, CEcD, Director of Economic Development Partnerships at TPMA, has been appointed Vice-Chair.

Prestegaard brings more than 30 years of experience across the public, private, and academic sectors. His work applies regional economic analysis to infrastructure and development decisions, helping communities make informed, long-term investments in the assets that shape economic growth. He previously served as Senior Economist at HDR Inc. and as Economic Development Chief at the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.

Nortillo brings more than 25 years of experience in economic development, public policy, and government relations. She has overseen more than $1 billion in capital investment projects supporting over 20,000 jobs, and contributes deep expertise in market analysis, incentive strategy, and site selection.

Together, they will lead an Advisory Board representing economic development leaders from across the binational Great Lakes region, supporting strategic initiatives, programming, and cross-border collaboration to advance regional economic growth.
